Changes To The 2010 Ed. Of NFPA 13 – Combustible Storage

October 4th, 2010

On November 4th 2010 Klausbruckner & Associates will be presenting a seminar on “Sprinkler Protection for Storage of Ordinary Combustibles NFPA 13 2010 Edition.” Changes between the 2002 and 2010 Editions of the standard will be addressed. This seminar will review in light of these changes basic knowledge, such as definitions of rack and palletized storage, to more complex topics, such as understanding the in-rack criteria for extra high rack storage.

Conflicts between requirements/commodity classifications in the Fire Code, NFPA 13, and Factory Mutual Data Sheet 8-9 are reviewed to encourage attendees to use alternative sources for additional information. Fire test history is also presented for further insight into some of the changes in NFPA 13 storage design criteria. Participants attending the class must bring the 2010 Edition of NFPA 13.
